The doorway
another time had sat
there
yellow walls framing blue
the canopy had placed me down
a curved brown head
spokes like a wheel
cold fresh air
the big grey stone
white, and black
swirling heel to heel
Tumbling down
laughter rang in the air
No one knew, no one thought
including me
Words and letters by the page
brought to me at bedtime's rage
clear glass panes
ringing still
with no one there
to hear them.

Hey Ellie...here is the poem I told you I'd post:
ReplyDeleteThe Kiss
I once loved a girl,
With hair of golden curl,
And skin the color of a pearl.
But the one time I kissed her,
I accidentally missed her.
It raised a huge blister,
So now she loves me no more.
P.S. When I first wrote this I wrote that it had been composed by Mr. Lips (say the name aloud and you'll get the joke if you haven't already ;D)
Oh my goodness! - bursts out laughing - Thanks, Kathy! (I'm not using your real name for security reasons)
